Job Summary

Senior mobile diesel technician responsible for on-site maintenance and repairs of light, medium, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles. Performs DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile/field environment, leading on jobsites, maintaining DOT/compliance records, and ensuring safety standards are met while coordinating with management and customers.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, transmissions, and other truck systems to restore vehicle operation.
•Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using handheld testers and gauges; road test vehicles to verify repairs.
•Maintain and operate company service vehicle, complete DOT forms and documentation, and manage parts inventory.
•Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals, discuss RO findings, and coordinate repair activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 35.48 - 53.27 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of diploma/ GED and experience.
•At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance experience and ability to complete DOT forms; OSHA/EPA regulations familiarity.
•OEM training and certifications are preferred.
