Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect scalable Azure SQL solutions, including schema and data model redesign for performance and scalability.
  • •Design business process models and analyze data trends to deliver insights that support business decisions and optimization opportunities.
  • •Develop and document technical and process solutions, including data integration, event-driven pipelines, and efficient data movement with minimal latency.
  • •Provide hands-on SQL Server/Azure SQL DBA support, including troubleshooting production incidents, managing maintenance tasks, and implementing backups and recovery strategies.
  • •Support business intelligence strategies by designing data warehouse/dimensional models and delivering reporting layers and interactive dashboards in Power BI or similar tools.

Key Requirements

  • •10 to 12+ years of experience with Azure SQL and hands-on database management, including SQL development and database administration.
  • •Strong solution design and architecture experience, including designing scalable Azure SQL architectures and performing Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) for large databases.
  • •Expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database administration, including sizing, growth, storage, tempdb, transaction log management, backups/restores, and high availability/disaster recovery concepts.
  • •Ability to perform query performance tuning and execution plan analysis, including identifying bottlenecks and using tools like Query Store, DMVs, Extended Events, and Azure performance monitoring.
  • •Hands-on experience designing robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing/dimensional models, including schema evolution, data quality rules, and reporting layers for Power BI or similar tools.
