Job Summary

Build and run production AI systems for the People function, turning messy People Ops workflows into reliable agents, APIs, and applications. Partner with domain stakeholders to scope problems and make architecture decisions, then deploy and maintain solutions end-to-end on Affirm’s Snowflake-based platform. You’ll work with data governance and security constraints, design reliability for multi-model LLM services, and own fixes when systems break in production.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and ship AI agents, APIs, and applications on Affirm’s internal platform, owning the full lifecycle (architecture, containerization, networking, secrets, CI/CD, monitoring, and production fixes).
•Convert People Operations requirements into production systems, integrating with Workday, Notion, and case management tools to surface answers from governed content.
•Work within security and data governance infrastructure (RBAC, data classification, access policies) to ensure employee data stays appropriately protected.
•Design reliability infrastructure for multi-model LLM services, including validation, fallback chains, circuit breakers, and quality controls to reduce hallucinations.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to scope problems, make architecture decisions, and translate between business needs and technical requirements while contributing to shared code and infrastructure.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 173,000 - 233,000 annually
