Job Summary

Lead front-to-back technology delivery and governance within HSBC’s Asia & Middle East Technology team. Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to define actionable technical backlogs, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and avoid technical debt. Key Responsibilities

•Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to shape requirements and create actionable product/technical backlogs.
•Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans for global rollout, balancing backlog value and technical debt.
•Drive consistent design and engineering practices across multiple projects, including front end, back end, APIs, integrations, and operational readiness.
•Participate in architecture and solution reviews to ensure alignment with HSBC standards for security, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
•Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines and quality gates, strengthening observability and operational readiness (runbooks, support model, on-call readiness).

Key Requirements

•Strong analytical skills to understand and resolve complex technical problems.
•Hands-on experience with React, C#, and Java Spring Boot, plus API design and integration experience.
•Front-end engineering and cloud enablement experience, such as AWS, with knowledge of cloud delivery and operational practices.
•Experience implementing engineering governance and security hygiene, including risk/control governance, dependency management, and vulnerability remediation.
•Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly, with strong stakeholder management skills across multiple teams.
