Job Summary

Assist the Technical Manager with daily maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and process issues across production and support equipment. Work independently on complex assignments, including PLC (AB and Siemens) troubleshooting and component-level electronics diagnostics. Configure and tune servo drive systems, upgrade equipment (including DC to AC/PLC replacements), maintain PLC software backups and documentation, and provide rotating 24/7 technical support while following safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Technical Manager with daily maintenance activities and provide direction/training for employees in lesser roles.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and process problems to ensure production equipment capability and resolve malfunctions.
•Diagnose electronics at the component level and troubleshoot PLC issues, including code modifications and program loading/reloading (AB and Siemens).
•Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC drives and inverters, including programming and startup configuration/tuning; configure and tune servo drive motor controls.
•Maintain and update PLC software/program versions with backups and keep diagrams/schematics current; perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and 24/7 technical support as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED plus an associate degree or certificate in Electrical/Electronics technology (or equivalent).
•8+ years of industrial maintenance experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
•Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematics and interpret procedure manuals/specifications.
•Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including electronics down to the component level.
•Experience with blown film manufacturing and converting equipment is a plus; journeyman certification preferred.
