Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop an in-depth understanding of metallurgical processes and support safe, effective operations.
  • •Build data-driven models and run large-scale experimentation to answer business questions and identify bottlenecks/slowdowns.
  • •Deploy, maintain, and improve statistical/ML models in production environments, and manage data mapping to a common schema.
  • •Create and update reports, monthly statistics, dashboards, and business insights to support decision-making.
  • •Assist with process optimization and improvements to increase productivity (throughput, grade, recovery) and efficiency (safety, quality, cost, people development).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • •5+ years’ experience in a large-scale processing plant.
  • •2+ years’ experience in data science or data analytics roles.
  • •Proficiency with data science and machine learning tools/languages (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow) and statistical/data mining techniques (e.g., regression/GLM, random forest).
  • •Familiarity with simulation and modelling software such as JKSimMet or MetSIM is an added advantage.
