Job Summary

Provide geotechnical engineering services for mining, infrastructure, and property/buildings projects as part of the Mine Waste team. Lead project management and oversee geological and geotechnical analysis, including field observations and reporting. Prepare proposals, tenders, reports, and cost estimations, supervise technicians and junior staff, and help manage safety by identifying hazards and reporting incidents. Support client activities, presentations, and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

•Project management of geological and geotechnical projects, including tailings facility site investigations and buildings/infrastructure projects.
•Interpret geological and geotechnical data, perform analysis, and draw conclusions/recommendations.
•Prepare proposals, tenders, reports, and other technical deliverables, including methodology and cost estimations.
•Conduct field observations and geological/geotechnical reporting; characterize ground conditions and materials.
•Supervise technicians and junior staff; identify safety hazards, report OH&S incidents, and conduct work safely.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
•Post-graduate studies in Geotechnical Engineering (preferable).
•At least 8 years’ post-graduate experience.
•Professional registration with ECSA.
•Consolidated experience in Geotechnical Investigations—factual and interpretive.
