Key Responsibilities

  • •Study and analyze spend data to identify cost-out opportunities and create execution strategies for electrical products categories.
  • •Identify, develop, and implement cost-out projects (VAVE/VA) for electrical components and related products as part of the Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team.
  • •Build component strategies and drive cost-outs through resourcing and VAVE via collaboration with global procurement, product divisions, and supply chain.
  • •Use supplier handling experience to manage communications and support technical queries for new component development projects.
  • •Serve as a technical expert across electrical materials, manufacturing processes, and certifications/standards; support NPI when new developments or design changes are required.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics with cost-out experience.
  • •5 to 8 years of relevant work experience focused on electrical components and related systems (e.g., wires, terminals/connectivity, automotive products, EV/HEV battery systems, UPS).
  • •Ability to apply electrical design basics and product concepts to identify new cost-out opportunities.
  • •Experience with product processes, testing, validation activities, and supplier handling/technical query support for new component development.
  • •Knowledge of IEC/UL/IS standards for electrical components and familiarity with DFSS/DMIAC tools, SAP, PPAP, and DFMEA.
