Job Summary

Senior Electronics/ICT Engineer with RF and Telemetry (TM) specialty to design, deploy and sustain RF/TM systems for Australian Defence tests. You’ll engage with Raytheon Australia engineering teams, shape RF/TM solutions for range trials, ensure technical compliance to standards, and contribute to technology roadmaps while traveling to support operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the resolution of RF/TM technical problems and mitigate risks and issues impacting system availability and training outcomes for the Australian Defence Force.
•Contribute to analysis and assessment of customer requirements and provide recommendations to project teams.
•Maintain currency of skills and knowledge relating to existing technologies and explore new technologies and methods.
•Contribute to development and maintenance of technology roadmaps within the areas of responsibility.
•Travel occasionally to Woomera and other locations to support operations.

Key Requirements

•University Degree in Engineering with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
•Hands-on RF Engineering experience including link margin analysis, system design, testing and surveys.
•Telemetry Standards, equipment and technologies (including IRIG-106, PCM, TMoIP).
•Application of Range Commander Council recommendations.
•Experience with TM processing (including DCMs, decommutation, unit conversion) and ability to manage small projects.
