Job Summary

Support the AI Data & Safety team in evaluating and training projects for ByteDance’s foundational models. Help translate feedback and benchmark outcomes into data requests, track project objectives and risks, and coordinate with product managers, researchers, and external collaborators. Build Python/SQL-driven tools to automate workflows, analyze annotation quality and dataset coverage, and improve data pipeline health. Contribute to annotation operations across multiple knowledge domains.

Key Responsibilities

•Support model evaluation, training, and user-growth projects by ensuring objectives and quality standards are met on time.
•Identify risks and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track.
•Develop code-based tools to automate processes, run data analysis, and convert/format files for different platforms.
•Improve annotation operations across domains and maintain technical guidelines and casebooks for consistent, high-quality data.
•Analyze annotation quality, model performance, and dataset coverage using Python/SQL-based statistical and programmatic methods to monitor data pipeline health.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence or equivalent practical experience.
•Experience in project or operations management roles on software engineering teams, with strong project management skills for complex workflows.
•Experience creating tools or solutions using code scripts.
•Ability to independently solve problems and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
•Deep interest in LLMs and computational thinking, with adaptability in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
