Job Summary

Install and terminate low-voltage audiovisual cabling and equipment for contracted client projects, including rack fabrication and wiring. Interpret system schematics and blueprints, test point-to-point functionality, and troubleshoot AV equipment and network integration issues. Lead and direct installation crews on smaller projects, oversee Level 1 technicians, coordinate with other trades, and communicate daily job status and site change requests to the Project Manager. May travel to customer sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for AV projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment/components setup, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Interpret system schematics and construction blueprints to support layout and installation.
•Test point-to-point cabling and verify functionality of AV systems.
•Lead and direct installation crews on smaller projects and oversee Level 1 technicians’ work quality.
•Communicate daily job site status and act as customer liaison, including coordinating change requests with the Project Manager and other trades.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Intermediate experience installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods (conduit runs, cable trays).
•Intermediate understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems) and network integration (IP-based, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Ability to read and interpret project schematics and construction blueprints and use hand/power tools safely.
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, plus a valid driver’s license and an MVR meeting company driving standards.
