Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop preliminary and detailed designs for traffic engineering, streetscape, and local highway schemes.
  • •Prepare high-quality technical outputs including drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • •Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and client expectations.
  • •Collaborate with engineers, planners, and technicians across AECOM’s business lines.
  • •Support and mentor team members, helping to delegate and coordinate tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in developing feasibility, preliminary, and detailed designs for local roads and traffic schemes.
  • •Familiarity with design elements such as alignment, drainage, pavements, road restraint systems, signage, and markings.
  • •Knowledge of cycling infrastructure, traffic calming, junction design, and footway/carriageway improvements.
  • •Understanding of relevant design standards including TSRGD, Manual for Streets, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
  • •Awareness of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
