Key Responsibilities

  • •Support implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System, including tools, processes, employee competencies, and risk assessments.
  • •Maintain third-party ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications; support ISO audit preparation, execution, and internal/external audits.
  • •Report, investigate, analyze, and help resolve accidents, incidents, complaints, and corrective actions to meet legal requirements and drive continual improvement.
  • •Coordinate HSE training and Safety Culture improvement programs and support the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • •Act as a liaison with CFB Halifax base safety, ship staff, and external contractors; review HSE documentation including Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).

Key Requirements

  • •Process safety management implementation experience is considered an asset.

  • •Thorough knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial occupational health and safety legislation and related laws.
  • •First aid certification and/or Joint Health & Safety Committee certification is preferred.
