Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment, including spotting cement storage vessels and pre-mixing spacer fluids.
  • •Learn basic oil well operations such as plug landing pressures, hydrostatic/differential pressure, resulting forces, balanced plugs, and cement blending calculations.
  • •Assist in operating equipment used in cementing jobs, including cement pumping/mixed equipment, blenders, additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, and data acquisition/ADC systems.
  • •Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete associated paperwork/reports.
  • •Verify correct line-up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment while following hazardous materials, wash up, discharge, HSE, and quality procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • •3–6 months of experience as Operator Assistant I – Cementing, or 1 year of related work experience in oilfield services.
  • •Class A CDL licensure able to operate a manual transmission.
  • •Satisfactory driver record with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years and no current DWI/DUI charges.
  • •Understand hazardous materials and comply with applicable safety, environmental, and HSE procedures and regulations.
