Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide and coordinate patient care, including educating patients and the public and offering advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
  • •Assess, reassess, and collect pertinent patient data; analyze assessment information to identify nursing diagnoses and determine expected outcomes.
  • •Create, evaluate, and implement patient care plans with an interprofessional team, collaborating with patients and bystanders.
  • •Record vital signs, recognize/address abnormalities, administer medications and treatments, and monitor side effects and reactions.
  • •Ensure safe patient admission, transfer, and discharge; prepare patients for examinations/treatment; assist in invasive and non-invasive medical procedures; maintain equipment and escalate faults.

Key Requirements

  • •Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority, with all required qualifications and experience.
  • •Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
  • •Demonstrate competence in comprehensive nursing care for neonates and pediatric ward patients, including head-to-toe assessments, reassessments, and pain assessment per policy.
  • •Competent in cytotoxic drug administration and taking care of chemotherapy patients.
  • •Be able to perform pediatric ward procedures and care tasks as per assigned competencies (including Elsevier-supported competencies), while complying with unit scope of service.
