Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary day-to-day legal contact for institutional investors and asset managers, advising on compliance risk factors across live transactions.
  • •Partner with private equity deal teams to understand complex deal anatomy, identify counterparties, and perform risk analysis (AML, bribery and corruption, financial crime, reputational risk).
  • •Review fund structures, SPVs, partnerships, and trusts to map ownership and fund flows and build a defensible compliance picture under timeline pressure.
  • •Coordinate the materials process with deal teams, legal, compliance, and counterparties to complete reviews on time without losing rigour.
  • •Collaborate with clients’ legal and compliance teams to confirm transactions meet AML/CTF regulations, internal policies, and jurisdictional requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified lawyer with transactional compliance experience and licensing to practice in the UK or Europe (other comparable jurisdictions considered).
  • •4-6+ years PQE recommended in regulatory or investment compliance.
  • •Experience representing asset managers, institutional investors, or other financial services clients.
  • •Strong ability to review complex asset management structures, including fund structures, SPVs, offshore vehicles, and multi-jurisdictional counterparties.
  • •Comfort acting as the named contact for institutional clients in a fast-paced financial services environment (right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship required).
