Job Summary

Independently design HVAC systems for government and commercial buildings, handling small to large project requirements with limited supervision. Perform engineering calculations and routine tests, develop heating/ventilation/air-conditioning designs, and coordinate HVAC with other disciplines. Conduct site/field visits to assess existing conditions, review and approve shop drawings, respond to RFIs, maintain project documentation, and organize projects to meet budget and quality targets.

•Develop heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system designs for government and commercial buildings.
•Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques to design HVAC systems; express complex solutions early in design phases.
•Coordinate HVAC systems with other disciplines and make recommendations with limited input from senior staff.
•Perform site/field visits to verify existing conditions and evaluate equipment.
•Review and approve shop drawings, respond to RFIs, maintain accurate project documentation, and mentor entry-level engineers.

•Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
