Key Responsibilities

•Protect millions of customers and large enterprises from API credentials, data, and AI-driven workflow risks by leading the security program.
•Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for security at an AI-native SaaS company, including security of AI features, agentic workflows, and frontier-model integrations.
•Maintain a forward-looking security narrative for leadership, articulating risks, opportunities, and required executive decisions or company-wide change.
•Own and evolve the enterprise risk management program: identify, quantify, mitigate, and report risks to the executive team, driving risk acceptance where appropriate.
•Lead Zapier's security voice internally and externally: manage customer security reviews, executive briefings, and due diligence with auditors, regulators, and prospects.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of security leadership in SaaS or cloud-native companies with deep expertise in at least one security discipline (Application/Product Security, Infrastructure Security, Detection & Response, etc.) and breadth across others
•Proven ability to shape and execute security strategy for an AI-native SaaS platform, balancing product vision with risk management and customer trust
•Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills, with experience partnering across Governance, Product, GTM, Legal, Risk, and Finance to drive security as a business differentiator
•Experience leading Detection & Response programs, incident management, and product security incident response (including bug bounty programs and external reporting)
•Proven track record recruiting, hiring, and growing diverse, high-performing security teams and mentoring managers, tech leads, and senior ICs
