Job Summary

Support the delivery of building systems projects by assisting with the design and documentation of plumbing systems for facilities like commercial, higher education, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. Work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams across all phases of design and construction, including calculations, layouts, construction documents, and coordination with other disciplines. Use Revit and other tools for BIM documentation while applying codes, standards, and quality reviews to ensure coordinated, build-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in the design and documentation of plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty piping).
•Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system evaluations under guidance of senior engineers.
•Develop plumbing layouts, riser diagrams, schedules, specifications, and construction documents.
•Coordinate plumbing designs with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, structural, and architectural disciplines.
•Support project development through construction administration, including site visits and review of RFIs/submittals.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
•1-3 years of relevant plumbing engineering experience supporting building systems projects.
•Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
•Familiarity with plumbing design principles, codes, and standards.
•Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
