  • •Oversee and direct investigations into product safety issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of critical matters.
  • •Support defense and resolution of product liability claims and litigation, including expert testimony, discovery responses, deposition and trial testimony, and strategic case development.
  • •Represent the company in applicable industry trade groups, standards committees, and governmental regulatory agencies as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Oversee and direct investigations into product safety issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of critical matters.
  • •10+ years of progressive experience in engineering design, development, testing, quality, or manufacturing related to power tools, battery packs, chargers, or small electrical appliances.
  • •In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion electrical systems, including cell behavior, pack architecture, charging methods, protection requirements, and battery management systems (BMS).
  • •Hands-on experience with electrical analysis, testing, validation, and executing test plans for battery performance, charging behavior, thermal response, fault conditions, and lifecycle durability.
  • •Strong knowledge of battery-related compliance standards (e.g., UL, IEC, UN38.3) and willingness to travel as required.
