Key Responsibilities

•Supervise Directional Drilling (DD) on-site, including projecting well paths to predetermined target coordinates.
•Understand and apply BHA selection principles; ensure BHAs are assembled as planned (make-up torque, doping, handling).
•Perform survey calculations and well path projections; update well profile plots and provide accurate directional survey data.
•Complete daily DD reports, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and relevant paperwork (well data spreadsheet, lesson learned/best practice, EJCS, KPI forms).
•Inspect DD company equipment on-site, maintain equipment records, ensure proper lay-out after use, and coordinate BHA compatibility with the MWD engineer.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least three years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL, including at least six months in DD.
•Proficient use of DD computer software to support advice and analysis to client representatives at the well site.
•Ability to read and interpret designed well plans, directional survey information, and other well site data.
•Strong communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
•Relevant rig safety certificates.
