Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead growth of WSP’s environmental construction and secondary consents capability by identifying market opportunities and shaping service offerings.
  • •Oversee identification, scoping, and programming of environmental construction and secondary consent requirements and translate them into clear delivery plans.
  • •Provide technical leadership as a focal point for environmental construction and secondary consents delivery across projects and sectors.
  • •Act as Project Director or senior strategic lead on post-consent and construction commissions, ensuring safe, profitable, high-quality delivery.
  • •Advise on discharge of environmental planning conditions and implement environmental compliance processes throughout design development stages.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in pre-construction and construction environmental management and delivery, including secondary consents and DCO/TCPA implementation.
  • •Strong understanding of the transition from primary consent to construction, including discharge of requirements/conditions and compliance assurance.
  • •Experience working across client, consultant, or contractor sides during pre-construction and construction phases, managing contractor interfaces and delivery risks.
  • •Ability to establish governance, reporting, and assurance processes to manage environmental commitments and construction-stage risks.
  • •Chartered status, or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body would be beneficial.
