Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of low to moderate complexity property theft claims, investigating and evaluating damages within established guidelines.
  • •Confirm/analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure, and negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • •Investigate claim damages using information from insured, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Review prior loss history, identify coverage concerns, and create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Prepare and manage claims estimates using estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools; maintain accurate claim file documentation and support CAT operations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED, plus 1 year of relevant customer service, military leadership, construction/insurance industry experience, or experience handling low-complexity property claims.
  • •Knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar estimation tools/platforms.
  • •Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • •Working knowledge of claims contracts and the application of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple business applications, with potential travel up to 25% as needed and acquisition/maintenance of an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (3 attempts).
