Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide senior oversight and governance of workplace health & safety across the Games minor venues program as the client’s key safety representative.
  • •Attend governance meetings and provide regular reporting on safety performance, program risk, and assurance activities.
  • •Guide the broader team’s approach to safety systems including spot checks, audits, and verification to ensure consistency.
  • •Partner with delivery contractors and provide senior-level guidance across a geographically spread Queensland program covering venues.
  • •Represent safety at an executive level by translating on-the-ground performance into clear updates for client leadership and senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in a safety-related discipline (preferred) with ICAM Lead Investigator certification.
  • •20+ years’ experience in a senior safety leadership role (ideally at Associate Director level or equivalent).
  • •Strong track record delivering construction, infrastructure, or utilities programs.
  • •Proven ability to engage confidently with executive/client stakeholders and site leadership/delivery teams.
  • •Brisbane CBD based, with flexibility to travel across Queensland as required.
