Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and update 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and GD&T documentation.
  • •Draft work instructions, router steps, and inspection plans that meet ASME and internal quality standards.
  • •Collect production data and perform root-cause analysis on non-conformances to recommend corrective actions.
  • •Present findings and quantified results to engineering leadership at the end of the term.
  • •Gain mentorship and shop-floor experience while working on a clearly scoped project from concept through implementation.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or closely related).
  • •At least 3 months of hands-on engineering experience from course projects, research, internships, student shop, or personal builds.
  • •Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and basic structural or thermal analysis.
  • •Able to work full-time, on-site in Austin, TX for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
  • •Able to collaborate with technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.
