Job Summary

Senior Consultant Civil Engineer in Charlotte, NC leads civil design for power, industrial, and municipal projects, managing small to medium design teams, performing complex calculations, and producing plans, reports, and permit documents. Key Responsibilities

•Manage and direct small to medium project design teams, coordinating technical work and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
•Prepare scope of work and costing documents for proposals and client engagements.
•Coordinate with senior engineering staff, mentor junior team members, and liaise with project stakeholders to maintain organized project execution.
•Perform civil design work including erosion and sediment control, SPCC plans, site grading using AutoCAD Civil3D, hydraulic analyses, and stormwater facilities.
•Prepare permit applications and respond to agency comments, and develop construction drawings and specifications to implement designs

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineer (PE) registration in North Carolina or ability to obtain within one year
•5-7 years of professional engineering experience (not including school)
•Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to perform technical computations and compare to regulations
•Valid state driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites and meetings
•Project management experience and team leadership skills
