Job Summary

Support the installation and qualification of manufacturing systems and troubleshoot day-to-day production issues. Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements by assigning causes to yield excursions, setting up gauges, and responding to SPC alarms to bring processes back into control. Execute process experiments, collect and analyze data, maintain documentation (drawings, SOPs, specs), and provide training while coordinating with production and supplier representatives.

•Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems to improve throughput, yield, and product performance.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required, with qualification via one of the listed options such as an associates degree in a technical discipline.
•2+ years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function, or other listed experience pathways including one year First Solar technical experience.
•Six months’ experience as a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar (as an alternate qualification pathway).
•Safety-first mindset and general electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
•Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the manufacturing line, with good written and oral communication skills in English.
