Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials, using specialized equipment when required, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required documents) and facilitate routine truck service (e.g., checking fluids) while reporting maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical, since trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
