Key Responsibilities

  • •Support and adhere to hospital and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures, including performance management and peer review processes.
  • •Ensure adequate medical coverage within the Division in coordination with Consultant staff.
  • •Under supervision, diagnose and treat neonatal patients according to best-practice standards for the specialty.
  • •Lead ward rounds, reassess inpatients and outpatients regularly, review investigation results, and modify treatment as required.
  • •Support quality and safety through quality improvement, audit, and reporting/investigation/response to untoward incidents, and participate in clinical research and publication.

Key Requirements

  • •Board certification as required for the tiered experience pathway (Tier 1 requires no additional experience).
  • •Tier 2 requires at least 2 years of clinical experience post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
  • •For Tier 3, at least 3 years of clinical experience as a Specialist post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
  • •Supervise and support junior medical staff, jointly responsible for their care.
  • •Comply with hospital policies for admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures, discharge protocols, and outpatient/follow-up practices.
