Key Responsibilities

  • •Own delivery, quality, and technical direction for the fraud and risk decisioning platform and the health/velocity of the team(s).
  • •Set the technical vision for data and ML-driven decisioning that is fast, accurate, and explainable at scale.
  • •Build a high-performing team with clear ownership, sharp priorities, and a strong engineering culture.
  • •Directly manage, mentor, and grow engineers and tech leads, defining competency expectations and growth paths.
  • •Drive AI-native ways of working by setting standards for AI tool usage and ensuring quality and safety in a fintech context.

Key Requirements

  • •Track record leading and growing engineering teams with ownership of delivery health and people development.
  • •Domain judgment in fraud, risk, financial crime, trust & safety, or real-time high-stakes decisioning, including latency and false-positive/false-negative trade-offs.
  • •Technical depth to set direction across data pipelines, model-driven decisioning, and infrastructure from clean data through graph/ML plus streaming and batch architectures and MLOps.
  • •Judgment on build-vs-buy decisions for high-stakes, regulated systems.
  • •High proficiency with AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) and experience championing AI-native ways of working.
