Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, and construction support for water/wastewater projects.
  • •Create design drawings and support mechanical plant selection and specification.
  • •Collaborate with water and other discipline teams (civil, electrical, process, and mechanical engineers) across the UK.
  • •Deliver technical work to budget, programme, and quality targets, supporting project budget and programme preparation.
  • •Design mechanical installations for municipal water/wastewater pumping stations and related equipment; perform site surveys and produce layouts, specifications, and engineering schedules (e.g., P&IDs).

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution, such as IMechE.
  • •Knowledge of pump station design, piping design, valve selection, and hydraulics.
  • •Ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications, and calculations with confidence and precision.
  • •Hands-on experience delivering innovative solutions for water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
