Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, including outsourcing input via make-versus-buy analysis.
  • •Lead materials core team activities and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management across buyers, planners, and production control.
  • •Create, release, and update new project materials strategy with limited/no supervision.
  • •Execute commercialization (transition) materials plan and manage materials change control while meeting cost objectives and resolving quality issues.
  • •Coordinate sourcing and materials work: supplier negotiations (under direct supervision), risk assessment, supplier performance monitoring, supplier/commodity roadmaps, and value analysis/should-cost support.
