Job Summary

Perform quality control testing and record keeping for concrete and aggregate products. Conduct aggregate gradation, specific gravity, and moisture testing, and complete concrete field tests including air, slump, unit weight, and casting test specimens. Support customer service coordination by communicating with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers, and QC personnel to help resolve quality issues. Work flexible shifts and maintain safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Test concrete and aggregate products for quality and conformance to specifications.
•Perform aggregate gradation, specific gravity, moisture testing, and concrete field testing (air, slump, unit weight) including casting concrete test specimens.
•Maintain basic material record keeping.
•Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers, and QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
•Work flexible shifts (nights, swings, weekends, and holidays if needed) and perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•One to two years of prior QC experience preferred.
•ACI Level 1 certification helpful; ACI strength testing technician helpful.
•WAQTC certification.
•Must pass the MSHA Safety course and have a current valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
