Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in Class I–Class III assessments and provide avoidance recommendations.
  • •Support heritage/cultural resource investigations by completing assigned survey and mitigation tasks (e.g., testing, data recovery, and monitoring).
  • •Ensure compliance with NEPA, NHPA, NAGPRA, and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • •Conduct fieldwork and support collection and preparation of digital data for reporting findings.
  • •Travel to project sites in Arizona and New Mexico and participate in 10-day rotations, including remote/camp settings as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, or a related field (MS/MA preferred).
  • •0–1 years of professional experience in researching, analyzing, and developing archaeological and historic preservation plans.
  • •Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • •Working knowledge of cultural resources and environmental regulations, including North American archaeology.
  • •Ability to perform pedestrian survey, carry up to 25 lbs, and travel to remote project locations for 10-day rotations (with background check and Motor Vehicle screening).
