Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform prescribed service work for natural gas connections and disconnections as operator qualified.
  • •Respond to customer requests, inform customers of needed repairs, and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
  • •Disconnect service as necessary and perform collection efforts on delinquent accounts.
  • •Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment and may read meters for billing.
  • •Assist with activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies and maintain accurate records/reports to meet company and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED (general educational knowledge).
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Complete and maintain assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), OJT, and required safety training/certifications.
  • •Ability to use the company’s internet/intranet resources for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •Ability to lift/carry up to 45–53 pounds and perform physical work (bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch) including occasional work on ladders/roofs/attics and confined spaces.
