Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, refurbish, install, calibrate, and test electronic systems, subsystems, and components for FAALC product divisions.
  • •Provide technical support services to help ensure electronic equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
  • •Interpret manufacturers’ manuals and accepted practices to solve routine problems related to circuits and equipment performance.
  • •Complete tasks in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, and technical instructions.
  • •Perform standard administrative tasks such as recording time/leave and documenting training completion, as well as assisting with engineering documentation and processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School diploma/GED with completed formal technical training OR an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
  • •Two years of practical experience supporting electronics technician work, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
  • •Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as a multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, and power meter.
  • •Proficiency in through-hole soldering/de-soldering and the ability to identify and interpret basic analog/digital circuit schematics and symbols.
  • •Ability to perform basic electronics troubleshooting (measuring volts/current/resistance and identifying opens, shorts, and grounds).
