Job Summary

Develop, integrate, and validate complex embedded systems across hardware, software, and mechanical domains for aerospace and defence applications. Partner with customers and stakeholders to capture use cases, concept of operations, and requirements; build system architecture; and ensure end-to-end requirements and test traceability. Create test plans and execute validation for real-time embedded systems, using requirements tools and version control to support delivery on demanding programs.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with customers and stakeholders to capture system-level use cases, concept of operations, and requirements.
•Develop system architecture and interface with Systems, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering teams to define component requirements.
•Support integration for real-time embedded systems, including hardware/software interfaces.
•Maintain requirements-to-requirement and requirements-to-test traceability throughout the design.
•Develop test cases and procedures against requirements and execute tests; contribute to planning, estimations, and progress reporting.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer across the full development lifecycle.
•Strong requirements analysis and management skills, including traceability from requirements to test.
•Experience in architectural design and decomposition for system-level solutions.
•Experience creating test plans, test cases, and procedures, and executing test programmes.
•Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or Jama or similar) and version control systems (SVN, Git, Teamwork Cloud).
