Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct point of contact with regulatory authorities in New Zealand and manage licensing interactions
  • •Deliver and execute the regulatory engagement strategy in the New Zealand region
  • •Support regulatory expansion by managing licensing components and licence authorisation processes
  • •Advise on regulatory change initiatives and regulatory risk obligations across the 1st and 2nd lines of defence
  • •Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Program and training to enhance organisational maturity and controls

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law or comparable compliance qualifications/experience
  • •At least 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within a regulated financial institution, FinTech, legal or consulting firm
  • •Familiarity with financial regulatory laws, rules and regulations across the ANZ region with focus on New Zealand
  • •Experience dealing with regulators including the FMA and DIA across the region
  • •Ability to work with data for strategic decision‑making and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
