Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify qualified suppliers meeting expectations and timelines.
  • •Create RFQs, partner on statements of work, analyze quotations, and produce sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical needs.
  • •Negotiate favorable contracts covering parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services (NRE/EDT).
  • •Release parts into production with Engineering and suppliers, and issue POs for prototype parts and prototype/production tooling.
  • •Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, address delays/problems, and provide status updates on sourcing, parts availability, and costs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a technical, supply chain, or finance discipline; MBA preferred but not required.
  • •8+ years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience in the automotive industry, preferably with body closure technologies (e.g., seals, latches, regulators, electronic door handles).
  • •Strong product launch experience with knowledge of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.
  • •Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, including ownership and effective execution.
  • •Proficiency with Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
