Lead enterprise cloud architecture across VA multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure and beyond), shaping secure, automated, scalable platforms. Maintain landing zones, guide modernization, IaC practices, and cross-cloud integration. Work with federal clients, develop templates and service catalogs, and document architectures and security evidence while coordinating with engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide enterprise-level technical leadership across the VA multi-cloud architecture and guide modernization efforts across AWS, Azure, and other CSPs.
•Develop and maintain landing zones including identity, networking, and security baselines, and support multi-cloud integration, automation, and workflow design.
•Offer guidance for IaC, automated provisioning, and approval engines; produce architectural documentation and security authorization evidence.
•Develop service catalogs with vetted CSP services, approved templates, pricing, and compliance considerations; collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
•Travel to VA facilities nationwide up to 4x per year and be able to work primarily remote while residing within 60 miles of DC area offices.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of cloud architecture experience.
•3+ years supporting large multi-CSP enterprise environments.
•Certifications: at least two of the following (AWS SA Professional, Azure SA Expert, OCI Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
•Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep (or similar).
•Strong understanding of Zero Trust, IAM, networking, and cloud security.
