Key Responsibilities

  • •Run deposition tools to SOP by executing vacuum thin-film deposition recipes, verifying chamber state/setpoints, and logging results.
  • •Prepare samples by dicing/cleaving coupons and handling mounting and cross-section prep, including wet cleans, oxide strip, and dehydration bake workflows.
  • •Operate characterization tools to collect and record structural, optical, and electrical film data, escalating when scans/images indicate tool problems.
  • •Perform first-line and preventive maintenance including chamber cleaning, source/consumable changes, shield/liner swaps, pump-down/leak checks, calibration checks, and maintenance history.
  • •Keep tools qualified by running qualification/monitoring samples, tracking thickness/uniformity/rate versus baseline, flagging drift early, and maintaining SPC-style charts where applicable.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 45 - 65 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of hands-on experience operating thin-film deposition and/or metrology equipment in a semiconductor fab, R&D line, or equipment supplier environment.
  • •Working knowledge of at least one deposition technique at practical detail, including diagnosing issues like pump-down and source conditioning.
  • •Ability to prepare samples, including dicing/cleaving, mounting, cross-sectioning, and cleaning without introducing artifacts.
  • •Comfort with metrology data such as thickness mapping and identifying tool problems versus material results.
  • •Strong documentation habits and cleanroom/safety discipline, including chemical safety and contamination control.
