Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform pre-coating operations from verbal, written or computer-generated instructions, including surface preparation and masking duties
  • •Perform post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, removing masking, troubleshooting, and diagnosing malfunctioning equipment
  • •Perform minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable (deburring, blending, polishing, countersinking, grinding, drilling, grit blast)
  • •Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using micrometers, verniers, height gauges and other fixed gauges
  • •Assist engineers and others in developing new or changed operations and make recommendations for changing operating parameters and processes

Key Requirements

  • •0-1 years of related experience or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field
  • •High School or GED
  • •Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding (preferred)
  • •Experience with computerized machine operation (preferred)
  • •Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers (preferred)
