Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment and systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer equipment and systems including trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, brake chambers, welding, and fabrication.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including parts sourcing from approved vendors and equipment reconciliation.
  • •Document work per company standards by completing Repair Orders (RO) and DOT forms, using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application, while following OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination, such as degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Must successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; a current valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older; hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain the Driver Qualification File (with 3 YR MVR review required).
