Job Summary

Build and extend Fusion in-product experiences that improve ease of use through the Autodesk Assistant, Fusion Insights, and guided Walkthrough onboarding. You’ll develop and maintain C++ and web components, integrating assistant experiences and recommendations, instrument features for adoption analytics, and deliver secure, well-documented code across desktop client and web. Work with QA, product, and design while participating in code reviews and using AI-assisted development responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement features improving Fusion ease of use via Autodesk Assistant, Insights, and Walkthrough experiences.
•Contribute to in-product guidance including assistant integration, insights surfacing (nudges/engagement flows), and onboarding walkthroughs tied to first launch and user intent.
•Produce clean, secure, maintainable, well-documented source code across Fusion client and web components.
•Use AI-assisted development workflows responsibly by writing clear specs, constraining scope, reviewing diffs, and verifying outcomes with tests and debugging.
•Unit test, debug, and resolve defects; actively participate in code reviews and collaborate with QA, product, and design while supporting data-informed development through feature instrumentation and adoption analytics.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience).
•Solid experience in C++ programming and basic understanding of object-oriented development and software design practices.
•Working experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and web development.
•Ability to use AI technologies to improve development processes (planning, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation) while staying accountable for correctness, security, and maintainability.
•Ability to use AI-generated code responsibly by reviewing, debugging, and validating outcomes with tests; communicates in English and can learn new technology quickly.
