Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive perception system architecture and keep a traceable requirements baseline from mission need to test evidence.
  • •Own the sensor suite baseline and configuration across aircraft platforms, including modalities, part numbers, installation, and program interfaces.
  • •Set and defend the sensing performance model (detection probability and false alarm rate) and reconcile it with measured flight test results.
  • •Lead perception verification and validation: plans, bench and hardware-in-the-loop coverage, sensor characterization, flight test objectives, data needs, and the evidence package.
  • •Provide technical authority at design and gate reviews and lead sensor trades to resolve technical decisions and document results for reuse.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 146,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • •5+ years engineering experience on electro-optical, LiDAR, RADAR, or comparable sensing systems as technical owner through fielded/flight demonstrated performance.
  • •Depth in multi-modal sensor architecture and sensor selection with a working command of detection physics that bounds each one.
