Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections and complete follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues across multiple vehicle systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • •Maintain parts inventory and reconcile inventory/equipment provided on the company service truck.
  • •Document repairs on repair orders (ROs) including pictures and DOT forms, and communicate with management/support for approvals and purchase order numbers.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience (or 5 years experience with another combination).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Meet DOT requirements: pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
