Key Responsibilities

  • •Recommend product design changes to improve performance, manufacturability, and workflow, including design for manufacturing/automation.
  • •Lead manufacturing portion of product development and assist product development teams with new product concepts to ensure manufacturability.
  • •Manage capital projects, oversee equipment and machinery installation, and support departmental layouts for improved floor space, workflow, and material handling.
  • •Implement and direct engineering changes into production, including instructing and training personnel and ensuring safety reviews for process/equipment changes.
  • •Analyze discrepant parts using 8D, PFMEA, and root-cause tools to prevent recurrence; establish methods (standard work, cycle time, takt time, ergonomics) and support value stream and cost-reduction actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •1+ year of engineering experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience supporting complex manufacturing processes and capital projects greater than $500K.
  • •Knowledge or experience with fabrication and/or assembly processes.
  • •Lean Six Sigma certifications and/or experience implementing lean processes in a manufacturing environment.
