Job Summary

Shape and execute Netflix’s artificial intelligence policy strategy within the Policy Strategy Partners team. Partner with legal, content, and product to translate technical AI developments into clear policy positions, tailor messaging to local regulations, and monitor emerging global legislation and ethical AI frameworks. Represent Netflix externally across governments and industry groups while helping drive responsible AI use across the content and member experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the Senior Manager of IP, AI and Content Protection Policy in shaping and executing Netflix’s AI policy strategy for content and member experience.
•Translate technical AI developments into clear policy positions in partnership with legal, content, and product.
•Tailor global AI policy messaging with regional and country policy leads to reflect local regulatory contexts and cultural dynamics.
•Monitor and analyze global AI developments, including legislative proposals, regulatory consultations, multilateral initiatives, and ethical AI frameworks, to anticipate risks and inform strategy.
•Engage external stakeholders (policymakers, industry groups, academics, civil society) and participate in working groups and coalitions to represent Netflix’s AI policy approach.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•5+ years of legal/public policy experience in a law firm, as legal counsel, government affairs, or other legal/regulatory work.
•Strong working knowledge of the technology, media, and entertainment sectors and relevant policy landscapes.
•Deep understanding of AI policy issues including copyright/IP, data governance, algorithmic accountability, safety, and innovation policy (e.g., the EU AI Act).
•Experience in a law firm, regulatory body, or in-house public policy role in a tech or media company.
•Proven success developing and implementing public policy strategies related to AI, tech regulation, or digital innovation.
