Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and troubleshoot all plant systems to meet Technical Standards & Safety Authority and the Safety Act requirements
  • •Work with shift partners and maintain plant operating procedures and policies
  • •Support maintenance by ensuring safe work plans, safe isolation of equipment and systems, and coordinating health, safety, and environmental systems
  • •Perform routine water tests and understand water chemistry, water and waste management operations
  • •Maintain mandatory health and safety training updates, keep detailed operating logs, and respond to first aid emergency situations while reporting incidents in the Synergy database

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Ontario (or Inter-Provincial) 2nd Class Operating Engineering Certificate

  • •Experience working on gas or steam turbines is an asset
  • •Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • •Strong computer skills; experience with SAP is an asset
