Job Summary

Design, implement, test, and support hardware and firmware security features for Cisco products. Work with the Hardware & Firmware Security Team to deploy security technologies, assess hardware/firmware architectures for vulnerabilities, and help educate product teams. Build and validate solutions using FPGA/Verilog and embedded CPU systems, including board bring-up and lab debug, while developing documentation, reference code, and proof of concepts to enable adoption.

•Assist internal product teams by deploying hardware and software security technologies.
•Contribute to hardware architecture, design, specifications, and HDL code reviews; investigate new security threats and technologies.

•Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) for work on U.S. Government classified environments.
•B.S. with 2 years’ experience or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Experience with FPGA design and/or verification using Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL).
•Experience with embedded CPU systems plus hardware debug and test in a lab environment.
•Experience with security-related design principles, methods, and architecture.
